The Green Party of the United States was formed in 2001. It is a federation of state Green Parties. GPUS is organized around the "Four Pillars" (to your right) which differentiate the Green Party from other progressive organizations.



The Green Party of Pennsylvania (GPPA) is a state affiliate of the GPUS. It meets quarterly around the state. Members from affiliated Green Party locals may send delegates to the GPPA State Committee. The state committee nominates candidates and elects party officers. Day-to-day business is managed by a seven-member Steering Committee which is elected annually by the State Committee.




The Montgomery County Green Party was formed to create a viable alternative political party to the two major parties. Montco Greens meet on the third Monday of each month, unless otherwise noted.
